Account books, 1781-1784.

Account books, recording work done in New York, November 2, 1781 - August 16, 1783, and Shelburne (Nova Scotia), December 24, 1783 - August 27, 1784, with some records of payments made as late as 1788. Wall made clothes, including military uniforms, for loyalist officers and civilians, and British naval and military officers. A few accounts mention making riding suits for women. His clients included notable loyalists such as General and Mrs. Benedict Arnold, Nathaniel Mills, and James Rivington. A typed index of his clients is kept with the volume.
